Cloning… Is it ethical?

October 30th, 2009

Cloning is one of the more debated advancements in science. Cultivating certain types of cells from a living host and combining them in a test tube a fetus is then grown. The exact part of the cell they colect is the occyte and surrounding cumulus. The cell is then stimulated to begin the embryonic developement. This type of cloning is known as nuclear transfer cloning. The procedure, performed at the Department of Cell Biology, Physiology, and Immunology at the Universidad Autonama de Barcelona in Spain from April to May, was done to help improve the efficiency and credibility of this type of cloning. Explore more information on the rats cloned in this experiment.  The rats names are Cloe, Cleo, and Clona for anyone wondering.

The question I pose to you reader is this type of creation of life against the very laws of nature or a necesity in the continuation of the human race? Is artificial life a defiance of God or an extension of his power?

I think that cloning is wrong. Ever life is different, and thats what makes us uniqe and defines our personality. If there was someone who was looked like me that wasn’t my twin(not that I have one)then I would be creeped out. dose she talk like me? Do my friends think that she’s me? It’s an extension of gods power that must not be played with. If your cat dies would you want to have a cat that looks like her but most likely act the same for thousands of dollors or have a different cat for alot less? Be smart about cloning because it could backfire and you would lose alot of money you may need later.

Scientist have been trying to recreate, using cloaning, many extinct animals for a long time. There is a reason why they have been extinct. Think of the consequences that this may cause! How will life be changed forever. Will these cloans become out of controll?

I think that cloning is a very confusing topic. I do not agree with cloning. Why? Because God created you the way you are and he made one of you if he wanted two of exactly the same person he would have made two of you. Cloning is wrong. (that is what I think)

I think that cloning should be illegal because it does not happen naturally and i am against it. I think that cloning is over stepping God power, its taking the power of God and giving it to some mortal.

I fined the thought of cloning is wrong. I do not think we should go against nature like that, to me it seems like a bad idea to me. It is not mans place to “play god” and create an animal out of another animal. I also thing that testing these things on animals that have no choice is wrong.

I think cloning is wrong. It is going against nature and nobody should have the right to do that. I dont look at cloning like an extension of Gods’ power at all. God created things with his intentions in mind and people shouln’t be messing with them.

I do not think that cloning is ethical. You are who you are for a reason and creating a duplicate of yourself for any reason is wrong. Some people may argue this saying that we can use the clones body parts as replacements as our own but i dont think that it is right to kill someone else just for the health of another. The clone would have just as much right to a life as the real person.

I do not think we should clone humans or any other animal. I think that we already have an efficiant way of keeping our population up. There is really no need to start cloning. When you clone your creating the same person, I think that we should never have two exact replicas of people that is not what God intended on.
